Educational Qualification:
| Scientist – C | Candidates must have passed Ph.D. degree in or any allied subjects of Geoscience, with four years of post-doctoral research experience. or the equivalent from a recognized Board or University. |
| Scientist – B | Candidates must have passed M.Sc. in Geology, Geophysics, or any allied subject of Geosciences with 3 years of relevant experience. or the equivalent from a recognized Board or University. |
| Technical Assistant | Candidates must have passed B. Sc. or Diploma in Engineering /Tech. of minimum 3 years duration or the equivalent from a recognized Board or University. |
| Field-and-Laboratory-Attendant | Candidates must have passed High School or the equivalent from a recognized Board or University. |
